MY DESIGN JOURNEY

  • Designer @ the United Nations 2013
    After years of working in Communications and writing content for various United Nations websites, I became a multi-disciplinary designer for the United Nations working on graphic design, instructional design, and web design.
  • Human-Computer Interaction Design 2014
    Completed a 5-week course on Human-Computer Interaction from Coursera and the University of California, San Diego.
  • Product and UX 2014-2017
    My role at the United Nations expanded to include the design and development of web and mobile applications, where I began advocating for User-Centered Design methods and processes.
  • Design Kit: Human-Centered Design 2015
    Studied and applied IDEO.org's Field Guide to Human Centered Design in my work, using IDEO and Stanford d school toolkits and worksheets.
  • MSc Digital Media Design 2016
    Awarded a Masters degree in Digital Media Design from the University of Edinburgh
  • Design Thinking Facilitator 2016
    Travelled to Switzerland to become a certified Design Thinking facilitator through a training programme with Dr. Frederik Pferdt, Chief Innovation Evangelist at Google. Back in New York, I started running the United Nations' first ever Design Thinking workshops for UN employees.
  • UX Design Immersive 2017
    Completed a 10-week full-time UX Design immersive course at General Assembly in London.
  • Product Designer @ Expedia Group 2017
    Currently working as a Senior Product Designer creating meaningful user experiences for a global travel tech company.
